Aurelia Solitaire 1.0ct
From$4,800
A single stone, held quietly.
A 1.0ct round-brilliant on a knife-edge band, four-prong basket, ideal-cut. Lab-grown or natural — both at G color, VS1 clarity, certified.
The atelier's most-asked-for ring. Refined across three revisions, still made by one set of hands at one bench.

Lab-grown vs. natural — what changes
We use the same grading scale (GIA-informed, IGI- or GCAL-issued) for both stones. The Aurelia 1.0ct is listed at G color, VS1 clarity, ideal cut on the lab-grown program. The natural option is graded to the same minimum but typically arrives a half-grade better — that's the slack we build into the natural-stone budget.
The visible difference between a G/VS1 lab and a G/VS1 natural at 1.0ct is nil in most lighting. The non-visible difference: a natural stone carries a single-mine traceability certificate; a lab stone carries a per-batch growth record. Both ship in the box.
The price difference reflects the inventory math, not the bench time. Setting hours, finish hours, and certification hours are identical across both programs.
Materials & hallmarks
Solid 18k gold (all colors) or 950 platinum, alloyed at our bench in California from 100% recycled metal — no newly mined gold enters the atelier. Each band is stamped inside with the metal hallmark, the Aurelia maker's mark, and the year of completion.
Approximate weight: 3.6g (band) plus stone. Knife-edge band measures 1.8mm at the shoulder, tapering to 1.4mm at the back of the finger.
Sizing & complimentary resize
We ship a complimentary printed ring sizer before the order is placed for any first-time client. The Aurelia 1.0ct ships in your size and is complimentary to resize one full size in either direction within twelve months of delivery.
For sizes outside US 4–10 or for the 2.0ct configuration, allow an extra two weeks at the bench.
Design timeline at the bench
From confirmed order to ship: six to ten weeks. Week one, procurement (stone-matching and metal alloy). Weeks two-three, wax model and CAD sign-off (we send you a printed resin proof for fit). Weeks four-six, casting and setting. Weeks seven-eight, finishing, hallmarking, certification, and final QA.
We photograph the ring at every stage and send the album over once it's complete. Time-sensitive proposals: we can compress to four weeks for an additional rush fee. Two weeks' notice required.
Certification & lifetime care
Every Aurelia Solitaire ships with: a printed certificate of authenticity, the stone's IGI / GCAL or GIA report, an archival photograph, and a bench note from the goldsmith who built it. We retain copies of all four on file for the lifetime of the piece.
Lifetime care: complimentary cleaning, polishing, prong-tightening, and rhodium re-plating (white gold) for the lifetime of the piece. Bring it in or send it via insured courier — we cover return shipping both ways.
Shipping & insurance
Fully insured signature shipping is included on every order over $250 (always, for fine jewelry). The Aurelia Solitaire ships in a hand-lettered presentation box, wrapped in raw silk, inside a cedar slipcase.
US delivery in 3–5 business days from completion via FedEx Priority Overnight. International via FedEx International Priority, fully insured, all duties prepaid. Tracking and a signed-acceptance photograph emailed on delivery.
